Auckland Council’s Community Development and Safety Committee is proud to announce that we are co-hosting our meeting on Thursday 20 June with the council’s Ethnic Peoples Advisory Panel. The panel has selected the theme of An Inclusive Future for Auckland as the focus for this meeting.
We have a number of exciting speakers who will be presenting at the meeting. Speakers include Michael Wood, MP for Mt Roskill and Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Minister for Ethnic Communities, Anjun Rahman, recent Queens birthday recipient of the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to ethnic communities and women. Jade Tang-Taylor deputy chairperson of the advisory panel, will also launch the panel’s new Future of Auckland website.
In addition, we will hear from the council about the work that is taking place to strengthen the council’s approach to inclusion and diversity.
